The OpenSSL Corporation is opening a new office in Brno, Czech Republic, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
We invite anyone interested - developers, contributors, partners, or community members - to join us for this special occasion.

Why Brno?
Brno has a strong base of technical talent, an active open-source community, and several technical universities and institutions. The city offers the environment needed to support continued development of the OpenSSL Projects and to grow engagement with users and collaborators.
Opening an office in Brno is a logical next step for the organisation. A majority of the OpenSSL Corporation team is already based in or around Brno, and much of the day-to-day engineering and coordination work already happens here. Establishing a permanent local office formalises what has been the operational reality for some time. It provides structure, stability, and a physical point of contact for contributors, users, and partners in the region.
The new office

The office will open to visitors on August 20, starting at 9:00 AM.

- Information about the OpenSSL Conference
- Caesar cipher activity for kids
Evening Networking Session
After the final block, we will host an open networking session in the evening, starting at 7 PM. Everyone is welcome to join, no agenda, just good conversations, food, and a chance to connect with others.

What Is Next
This office will support ongoing work on the OpenSSL Projects and provide a point of contact in Europe. It is one of several steps the OpenSSL Corporation is taking to improve support, collaboration, and development across regions.
